PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact and light self-running vacuum cleaner, dispensing with a dust collector chamber in the body of the vacuum cleaner and a suction nozzle. SOLUTION: This self-running vacuum cleaner includes: a vacuum cleaner body 1 provided with a driving device having a driving wheel 4 and a driving motor 41 for driving the driving wheel 4, a battery 43 for supplying power to the driving motor 41, a control part for controlling the driving motor 41 to give a required angle of rotation to the driving wheel 4, and a cleaning part having an electrostatic attraction brush 10 rotated in contact with the floor surface to clean the floor surface; and a static elimination station 11 having a static eliminating brush 13 for static-eliminating the electrostatic attraction brush 10 of the vacuum cleaner body 1. The cleaner body 1 which has cleaned the floor surface is returned to the static elimination station, and the electrostatic attraction brush 10 is subjected to static elimination by the static eliminating brush 13 to drop dust and dirt collected by the vacuum cleaner body 1.
