PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a product non-giving a user discomfort, when cooking a cooking object containing fermented matter such as broiling food pickled in sake lees or toasting bread, by non-heating air purification catalyst by a catalyst heater and suppressing the generation of acetic acid-based irritating odor caused by oxidative degradation. SOLUTION: This electric cooker is provided with the cooking chamber 1, a temperature detecting means 14 provided in the cooking chamber 1, a grill 7 for putting the cooking object 8 thereon, at least an upper heating body 2 for grilling the cooking object 8, an exhaust passage 10 communicating the cooking chamber 1 with the outside, the air purification catalyst 9 provided in the exhaust passage 10, the catalyst heater 13 heating the catalyst 9, and an exhaust fan 11. This cooker is further provided with a catalyst non-heating mode 18 in an operating part 16 not to heat the air purification catalyst by the catalyst heater 13 in cooking the cooking object 8 containing the fermented matter.
