PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an article rack of a low cost and an article rack system. SOLUTION: For this article rack, a rack truck 1 has a shelf pocket 15 (gap 21) in which a shelf board 13 being raised from a shelf receiving angle 14 is dropped into a strut 12. The article rack is constituted in such a manner that a force is applied to a section on a worker side on the lower surface of the empty shelf board 13, the shelf board 13 is raised from the shelf receiving angle 14 and slid down from the end section 15a of the shelf pocket 15, and the slid down shelf board 13 is dropped in the shelf pocket 15 (gap 21), and the shelf board 13 is held upright. Thus, in the rack truck 1, the shelf board 13 can be kept upright (the shelf board 13 is held opened) without providing a complicated mechanism such as a raising spring, and therefore, the manufacturing cost of the rack truck 1 can be made lower compared with an article rack equipped with the raising spring.
