The mechanism has an output unit (24) linked with an input unit (22) to transfer actuating force to a friction clutch using a power transmission medium. A valve arrangement in the unit (22) is closed to produce power clutch effect in the medium and is opened for weakening the effect. Relative position between the units is adjusted by changing volume of a pressure chamber. A balance chamber is closed by a ductile wall arrangement.
