The invention relates to a blocking and unblocking device which can be applied to a security lock, comprising at least one key (10) provided with authenticity coding reliefs (11) extending transversally in relation to the longitudinal axis (X-X') of the key, a mechanism (20) probing the coding reliefs (11), wherein the key (10) is engaged as far as a stop position, and a mechanism (30) for authentication of the coding reliefs (11) comprising a plurality of fittings (21) adopting a transversal position in relation to the longitudinal axis (X-X') when the key is engaged. According to the invention, the authentication mechanism (30) comprises a plurality of elements (34) which can be transversally moved in a translatory manner, adopting the respective transversal test positions according to the transversal positions of the fittings (21). The device assumes an unblocking or blocking state at least according to the transversal test positions.
