<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device of high usability and high reliability. <P>SOLUTION: This image forming device is provided with a paper output tray 40 movable between a first position where output sheets can be stacked and a second position separated from the first position, and a sheet stack quantity detecting means having a full stack detecting sensor flag 50 movably applied to the top surface of the sheets stacked on the paper output tray 40, so that stack quantity of sheets stacked on the paper output tray 40 can be detected by detecting the position of the full stack detecting sensor flag 50.
