<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a function selecting device to be mounted on an electric equipment which is simple in operation, and inexpensive. <P>SOLUTION: The function selecting device 2, to be installed at the electric equipment 1 for selecting a function out of a plurality of functions the electric equipment 1 has, comprises a dialing part 21 installed rotatably around the axis as a center and slidably in a direction nearly perpendicular to the axis, and having a function display on the surface; a rotating position detecting part 22 to detect the information on the rotating position of the dialing part 21 when the dialing part 21 is slid; a rotation position-function corresponding information memory part 23 to memorize the function of displaying function that the dialing part 21 is in a prescribed angle direction when it is slid, and to correspondingly memorize the information on the rotation position of the dialing part 21 when the dialing part is slid; and a function acquisition part 111 that acquires functions from the rotation position-function corresponding information memory part 23 corresponded to detected information of the rotation position and that instructs to carry out the function thus acquired to the electric equipment 1. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
