<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for attaining a high power conversion efficiency according to the state of installation of a power converter and its ambient environment. <P>SOLUTION: The power converter comprises: a boosting circuit that boosts the voltage of direct-current power generated by a solar cell module; an inverter circuit that converters the direct-current voltage boosted by the boosting circuit into an alternating-current voltage; a boosting control circuit that controls the boosting circuit; and an inverter control circuit that controls the inverter circuit. The power converter is provided with a human sensing means, and carries out control so that the following is implement: when the human sensing means senses the presence of a human, the switching frequency of the inverter control circuit is lowered; when the human sensing means does not sense the presence of a human, the the switching frequency of the inverter control circuit is increased. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
