<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lithium halide-based dehumidifying agent which can produce pump-transportable low-viscosity slurry even when the dehumidifying agent is regenerated and the concentration of the dehumidifying agent becomes higher than the saturated solubility, can be powdered and can be regenerated in an easily handled state, and to provide a method for efficiently regenerating the dehumidifying agent. <P>SOLUTION: Slurry or an aqueous solution prepared by using this dehumidifying agent is used for dehumidifying air by absorbing moisture in the air. This dehumidifying agent contains lithium halide and a crystal growth suppressing component which is precipitated at a concentration step and used for suppressing the crystal growth of lithium halide. This method for regenerating the dehumidifying agent comprises a step to regenerate the dehumidifying agent after carrying out the following four steps, namely, a dehumidifying agent transporting step (A) to transport the dehumidifying ability-deteriorated dehumidifying agent to the concentration step, the concentration step (B) to heat/concentrate the transported dehumidifying agent and obtain the dehumidifying agent of high-concentration slurry, a slurry transporting step (H) to transport the dehumidifying agent of high-concentration slurry to a dehumidifying agent preparing step, and the dehumidifying agent preparing step (I) to dilute the dehumidifying agent of high-concentration slurry, if necessary, and prepare the dehumidifying agent as the slurry or the aqueous solution of the predetermined concentration. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
