PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform direct memory access by efficiently controlling data transfer. SOLUTION: A direct access memory device comprises: a determination means for determining whether data bus widths of a data transfer source and a data transfer destination are different; and a transfer means for performing a direct memory access data transfer, when a data transfer source is narrower than a data transfer destination in data bus width, by inputting data from the data transfer source by a data bus width of the data transfer source until data corresponding to the data bus width of the data transfer destination are stored, and thereafter by outputting to the data transfer destination the data corresponding to the data bus width of the data transfer destination.
