PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an electronic settlement type vending machine which enables settlement to be performed by a fuel cell type mobile phone and enhances the convenience for users. SOLUTION: An electronic settlement type vending machine 1 reads an authentication key authenticated by a settlement server 20 arranged in a mobile phone company for collecting telephone rate from the fuel cell type mobile phone 2, from the fuel cell type mobile phone 2 as the purchase price of an article and performs electronic settlement processing between the vending machine 1 itself and the settlement server 20 on the basis of the authentication key by a settlement data processing part 13. An article selection button 16 is set to such a state that an article can be selected, when the authentication key is read by the settlement data processing part 13, and an article is taken out from an article taking-out part by operating the article selection button 16. The fuel cell of the fuel cell type mobile phone 2 after electronic settlement by the settlement data processing part 13 is charged with fuel by a fuel charging function part 14.
