PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method which enables a molded body to be taken out easily without being deformed or damaged, and a molding machine suitable for carrying out the above excellent method. SOLUTION: A sand core W is produced by means of a mold 12 which comprises a fixed die 21 and a movable die 31. The sand core W is taken out from the mold 12 by opening the mold 12 with the fixed die 21 and the movable die 31 separated from each other. The fixed die 21 is fitted with a fixed die side core 23 which has an end face 23a as a part of a first molding face 22 and which is capable of advancing or withdrawing along the mold opening direction A1. The movable die 31 is fitted with a movable die side core 33 which has an end face 33a as a part of a second molding face 32 and which is capable of advancing or withdrawing along the mold opening direction A1.
