PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the occurrence of a dribble in single driving and a malfunction when connecting an air chuck, by reducing reaction of a nailing machine in continuous driving. SOLUTION: This starter is composed of a contact lever 34 rotatably and slidably arranged on a trigger lever 32, and a control lever 43 rotatably operated by rotary operation of the trigger lever 32 and controlling the rotational movement of the contact lever 34. The control lever 43 is arranged under the operation end 35 of the contact lever 34 upwardly moved by the contact arm 33 in a single driving mode by the rotary operation of the trigger lever 32. When the contact arm 33 performs return operation, engagement between the operation end 35 of the contact lever 34 and the contact arm 33 is released by the control lever 43, and the contact lever 34 is arranged in a position retreated from above an operational locus of the contact arm 33.
