PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To directly calculate a countermeasure die-face shape necessary for correcting a die-face shape of a mold. SOLUTION: A method for correcting the die-face shape of the mold is carried out as follows: a curvature of each surface part of an actual molding is calculated from the data of an actual die-face of the molding; a curvature of each surface part of a reference molding is calculated from the data of a reference die-face of the molding (S11-S14); an error curvature of the actual molding is calculated by calculating a difference between a curvature of each surface part of the actual molding and a curvature of each surface part of the reference molding (S15); a countermeasure curvature, which is used to make the face shape of the actual molding the same as the face shape of the reference molding, is calculated from the error curvature (S16); and a countermeasure die-face shape of the mold used to mold a molding is calculated based on the countermeasure curvature (S17).
