PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an agitator from which an agitation member for agitating material to be agitated in an agitation tank can be easily detached, and which can reduce friction generated by the transmission of turning force, and increase the revolution number to improve agitation efficiency. SOLUTION: The agitator comprises the agitation tank for storing the material to be agitated, the agitation member which is disposed in the agitation tank, and comprises one or more magnet balls each of which is partly or wholly made of a magnetic metal or a magnet, and an actuator which is disposed outside the agitation tank for rotating the agitation member. The actuator has one or more magnets on the surface facing the agitation member, and power transmission is carried out by a magnetic force generated between the magnets and the agitation member.
