A reinforcement self lighting cigarette to be used by a smoker, includes a cigarette, a lighting charge and at least one reinforcement member. The reinforcement self lighting cigarette frees the smoker of the need to carry or borrow from another lighting means such as matches in a box or a lighter. The cigarette reinforcement prevents its breaking when lighting the cigarette by friction on a strip of abrasive material.
