An identification code is provided for each part of a vehicle-mounted system, and stored in a memory. At the time of starting of the vehicle-mounted system, an identification code is acquired from each part of the vehicle-mounted system. When the acquired identification code is not in agreement with a corresponding stored identification code, use of the part if forbidden. Independent claims are also included for the following: (A) a part management data update method of a vehicle; and (B) a vehicle parts management center.
