A method for fixing and processing of workpieces (12) has the workpieces held on a conveyor feed using grip (30) fitted to the conveyor. After passing through a process station (14) any swarf and debris is removed by a cleaning system (32) positioned over the conveyor. The cleaning system can be of a size to match the width of the belt and can be either a separate system or part of a larger system which covers several processing conveyors.
