Said dome structure is radially covered by a tread (5) joined at two ridges by means of two sidewalls, and comprises at least one layer (42) of circumferential reinforcing elements. According to the invention, the ratio of the thickness of the dome block on one shoulder end (6) to the thickness of the dome block in the circumferential median plane (XX') is less than 1.2, and the ratio of the axial width of at least one layer of circumferential reinforcing elements to the axial width of the tread (L) is higher than 0.5, preferably higher than 0.6.
