The system has two identical rectangular carrier plates (11), each carrying four stub shafts (15,16,21). The stub shafts face toward each other and have stepped ends which can overlap. The shafts are placed in a rhomboidal shape and carry pairs of rollers (14,22) of different sizes. The rollers have teeth (13,25) which can accommodate a toothed belt.
