<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide sheet inspection equipment capable of inspecting an output sheet normally even when the discharge speed from an image forming apparatus is switched. <P>SOLUTION: The sheet inspection equipment comprises a judgement means for judging whether a sheet is acceptable or not by comparing sheet information read out from a reader 501 with sheet information from a corresponding image forming apparatus, and a CPU 510 for controlling the reader 501 depending on the sheet carrying speed of a carrying roller. Upon receiving a line synchronization signal being generated at a specified period, the CPU 510 controls the reader 501 to take in data depending on the drive timing of a carrying motor 520 and sets the reading timing of the reader 501 such that the data is taken in by a closest line synchronization signal for each drive timing of the carrying motor 520. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
