<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To execute highly efficient Kana-Kanji conversion with the selection operability of conversion candidates. <P>SOLUTION: This KANA/KANJI converting device is provided with a means to display one or more conversion candidates corresponding to inputted Kana and a means to, when one conversion candidate is selected from those one or more conversion candidates, and an extension key is depressed, display one or more conversion candidates associated with the selected conversion candidate. When the Kana-Kanji conversion is executed, Kana before conversion and a character string corresponding to the Kana are made to correspond to each other across a whole text by one or more morphemic units, and those associated one or more conversion candidates are acquired from an input result dictionary in which the correspondence is registered. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
