PURPOSE: A retaining wall structure in an underwater ecosystem and a construction method thereof are provided to restrict earth loss by activating upstream or downstream flow of a river and guiding accumulation of earth and sand, and to protect the underwater ecosystem by forming a spawning ground for underwater insects, fishes and shellfishes. CONSTITUTION: A retaining wall structure is composed of a base concrete layer(B) arranging an underwater bed by pouring and curing concrete, an underwater green block(S) stacked on the base concrete layer and composed of a front plate formed of X-shape, a middle beam integrally formed in the front plate and a rear wall formed from a rear end of the middle beam and arranged in parallel with the front plate, a level crown block(F) selectively installed on a top of the underwater green block and composed of a front plate having a lower opening part, a middle plate integrally formed in the front plate and a rear plate integrally formed with the middle plate and opposed to the front plate, and a level crown concrete layer(U) formed by pouring and curing concrete on the level crown block. |
