PURPOSE: A plasma display panel is provided to prevent degradation of luminance and reduce power consumption by improving the shape of a discharge sustain electrode. CONSTITUTION: A plasma display panel comprises a first substrate(20) and a second substrate(22) opposed with each other; address electrodes(28) formed on the first substrate; barrier ribs(32) disposed in the space formed between the first substrate and the second substrate so as to define discharge cells(24R,24B,24G); phosphor layers formed in the discharge cells; and a discharge sustain electrode formed on the second substrate. The discharge sustain electrode includes a pair of first electrodes(36a) disposed in the discharge cells. Each of the first electrodes has a shape decreasing as it goes from the center to the edge of the discharge cell. The first electrode has cut-out portions(362a) formed at arbitrary spacings at the portion disposed near to the edge of the discharge cell. |
