PURPOSE:Fibers, consisting of a polyester containing a specific fluorine- containing isophthalic acid in an acid component and another polymer having good fiber-forming properties, the former accounting for at least part of the fiber surfaces, capable of exhibiting excellent antifouling properties with durability and having improved fiber making and physical properties. CONSTITUTION:Fibers obtained by conjugate spinning of (A) a thermoplastic polyester containing preferably 5-30mol% structural units expressed by formula I or II (Rf is 3-20C perfluoroalkyl; n is 0-6; Rf1-Rf3 are perfluoroalkyl to give 3-30 total number of carbon atoms thereof) based on an acid component and (B) a thermoplastic polymer having a affinity for the polyester (A) and good fiber-forming properties, e.g. polyethylene terephthalate, etc., so that the polyester (A) may account for at least part, preferably >=50% of the fiber surfaces. The conjugate weight ratio of the polyester (A) to the polymer (B) is preferably 10/90-50/50 from the viewpoint of fiber making properties and physical properties of the fibers.
