PURPOSE:To realize a higher resolving power, by setting one end cross section of an image fiber on an imaging surface of an infrared lens while the other end cross section thereof is made to correspond to individual pixels of a plurality of detectors excluding of defective pixels. CONSTITUTION:This apparatus employs an infrared detector 28 in which the total number of pixels has been increased to 4N by mounting four infrared image sensing elements 21 with the number of pixels of N heretofore used. An image fiber 24 comprising 4N pieces of fibers is interposed between the elements 21 and an infrared lens 23 and one end cross section of the fiber is divided into four blocks of N pieces each to correspond to the four infrared image sensing elements 21. That is, in this case, an image on an imaging surface 25 is divided utilizing the image fiber 24 to be distributed to the individual elements 21 thereby assuring a high resolving power. |
