PURPOSE:To perform the erasing operation reliably by controlling the peeling condition of a medium to be recorded and an ink sheet based upon such time as the peeling timing of the ink sheet after completion of printing. CONSTITUTION:A peeling member 30 is a drum type member contactable/ separatable against/from a platen 1-1. In other word, a ribbon cassette 11 has a ribbon pay-out port 11c and a take-up port 11d and contains a ribbon 10 under partially exposed condition. A thermal head 29 heats the exposed portion of the ribbon 10. The thermal head 29 and the peeling member 30 are positioned between the pay-out port 11c and the take-up port 11d of the ribbon cassette 11. The peeling member 30 controls the peeling timing of the ink ribbon 10 and a recording paper 1-2 after the ink ribbon 10 is heated by the thermal head 29. |
