PURPOSE:To obtain information, which diagnoses troubles of communication, in a terminal by storing the signal on a communication line interface signal line in an external storage device or editing and displaying stored data in accordance with the indication of a terminal operator. CONSTITUTION:When the terminal operator operates a keyboard 15 to input a storage start indication command, the signal on a communication line interface signal line 16 is stored in an external storage device 14. The signal in the storage device 14 is read and edited in a data read and editing part 25 in accordance with editing and display indication commands from the keyboard 15 and is displayed on a display part 13.
