COLUMN FOR LIQUID CHROMATOGRAPHY AND ITS PRODUCTION

PURPOSE:To obtain a column for a liquid chromatography having large separating capacity per unit volume (length) by using the column for the liquid chromatography having a high column packing rate. CONSTITUTION:The column is prepd. and a filter is attached to the bottom end thereof. The filter has many pores of the size to prohibit the passage of packing material particles and to allow the passage of only the medium. A packer is connected by a connecting member to the top end of such column. The packer is made into substantially a column shape and the diameter thereof is the same as the diameter of the column. A dispersion uniformly dispersed with the packing material particles in a medium is prepd. The connecting body of the column and the packer is perpendicularly held and the dispersion of the packing material particles is injected from the top end of the packer into the column. The filter is attached to the top end of the packer and the medium is forced by a pump into the column. The column is then removed from the packer and the filter is attached to the top end of the column, by which the column for the liquid chromatography is obtd.
