PURPOSE:To obtain the titled fiber keeping excellent various properties even at a relatively low take-up speed and giving a polyethylene terephthalate-like feeling, by spinning a polyester composed mainly of a specific polyalkylene naphthalate at a specific take-up speed. CONSTITUTION:A polyester composed mainly of a polyalkylene naphthalate wherein the glycol component is 3-6C glycol (preferably polybutylene naphthalate) is spun at a take-up speed of 2,000-8,500m/min, preferably 2,500-5,500m/min to obtain the objective fiber.
