PURPOSE:To inactivate a kinin compound and to prevent the development of pain-producing action of kinin compound in living body, by decomposing a kinin compound with laser beam radiation. CONSTITUTION:A kinin compound (e.g. bradykinin, lysyl bradykinin, etc.) is decomposed and inactivated with laser bean radiation. Although a kinin compound effectively functions mainly as a vasodilator in living body, it is produced abundantly in the blood vessel near the stimulated site when a part of a living body is stimulated and functions also as a pain-producing substance (PPS) acting to the terminal of a neurocyte to produce pain. The peptide bond of the kinin compound is broken by the irradiation of laser beam and the kinin compound is decomposed in a living body to decomposition products such as oligopeptide or amino acid residue. Accordingly, it is inactivated and does not exist as PPS producing pain in a living body. The wavelength of the laser beam is usually about 0.19-4.0mum. |
