发明名称 CHARGED PARTICLE GENERATOR
摘要 PURPOSE:To provide a high speed printer by covering a conductive member with a material having high secondary electron emitting factor and providing a device for generating more charged particles thereby utilizing a larger quantity of charged particles when a charged printer is constructed. CONSTITUTION:A secondary electron emitting face 17 is composed of oxides such as BeO, MgO, CaO, BaO, Al2O3, SiO2, etc., which emit a large quantity of secondary electrons upon the impingement of a high speed electron against the surface thereof and constitutes a charged particle generator together with an insulator or a conductor supporting substrate 1, an insulator 2, a conductor 3, a dielectric 5, an adhesive 6, a conductor 7, an insulator 8, an adhesive 9 and a conductor 10. In such a generator, when a high voltage is applied between the electrodes 3 and 7, discharge starts in a discharge space 6 to produce electrons or ions which impinge against the secondary electron emission face 17. When an electron impinges against the secondary electron emitting face 17, several to a dozen electrons are normally emitted.
