PRODUCTION OF OPTICAL TRANSMISSION BODY MADE OF SYNTHETIC RESIN

PURPOSE:To stabilize production by bleeding liquid from a nozzle consisting of a porous material in an outlet part of a molded pipe. CONSTITUTION:A prepolymer 7 past a heating jacket 2 controlled by high-temp. water 10 and low-temp. water 11 to a suitable temp. gradient is continuously molded to a transparent gel-like base material 8 having the compsn. uniform in the radial direction and self-shape retentivity by a thermal polymn. A sealing liquid 12 in the jacket 4 bleeds to the molded nozzle 13 made of the porous material in the outlet part of the molded pipe 3 and enters the spacing between the inside wall of the nozzle and the prepolymer 7, thus acting as a lubricating material to prevent the stagnation of the previously geled prepolymer 7. Since the spacing between the nozzle 13 and the base material 8 is sealed by a sealing liquid 12, the diffusion of the diffusive material to the base material 8 under the formation is prevented. The production is thereby stabilized without generating ruggedness on the surface of the base material 8 and without rupturing the base material.
