PURPOSE:To obtain a print protective member having excellent folding endurance and blocking resistance, by providing on a base a pressure sensitive adhesive layer having a specified initial pressure sensitive adhesive force and a specified peel strength to form an adherent surface for an object to be protected. CONSTITUTION:This print protective member comprises a base 1 and a pressure sensitive adhesive layer 2 which constitutes an adherent surface for an object to be protected such as a printed matter. The layer 2 has an initial pressure sensitive adhesive force in terms of ball number according to the ball rolling method of JIS Z 0237 of not more than 15. In the case of misregister when laying the protective member on a print, the protective member can be easily released from the print and again registered. The pressure sensitive adhesive layer is preferably so provided that the 180 deg. peel strength according to JIS Z 0237 at the adherent surface for the print is 100-1,000g/25mm. By this, an image surface of a print can be laminated with the protective member with a sufficient adhesion after pressing them against each other.
