<p>PURPOSE:To prevent the clogging of an air pipe even when the supply of air to an oxidation tank is stopped by connecting a branch line for branching a slurry discharged from the oxidation tank via a valve to the air pipe for blowing air into the oxidation tank. CONSTITUTION:The branch pipe 13 is provided midway of a liq. pipeline 11 for sending a liq. to a gypsum separator 12 by a pump 10, the pipe is connected to the midway of an air pipe 9 for supplying air to the bottom of the oxidation tank 8, and valves 14 and 15 are provided on the upstream sides of the junction of the air pipe 9 and the branch pipe 13. An agitator 16 is furnished in the oxidation tank 8. When the liq. adsorbent consisting of CaCO3 is totally oxidized in an adsorption tower 1 and CaSO3 is not present in the liq. adsorbent, the valve 14 is closed, the valve 15 is opened, and the slurry is sent to the air pipe 9 from the branch pipe 13. The liq. adsorbent in the tank 8 is agitated by the agitator 16 and slurried, and hence the adsorbent is sent to the air pipe 9 from the branch pipe 13 with good fluidity. Consequently, the air blower can be stopped, when oxidation is unnecessary in the tank 8.</p> |
