PURPOSE:To make it possible to operate under pressure without giving a thermal impact to the electrode, by sealing under pressure a heated nitrogen gas between the cell main body and a sealed-up container. CONSTITUTION:The liquid nitrogen N2 from a nitrogen tank 3 is made into nitrogen gas of the atmospheric temperature by an evaporator 4, and flows to a heat receiving pipe 7a of a heater 7. Since a valve 7c is opened and a valve 7d is closed in this case, the heat receiving pipe 7a is heated by a heating pipe 7b where a burner exhaust gas flows through, and the heated nitrogen gas passes through a piping 5 and sealed tightly under pressure between the cell main body 1 and a cealed-up container 2, to be a heated and pressured hydrogen gas 8. Therefore, the temperature difference between the electrode in the cell main body 1 and the nitrogen gas for giving pressure is made smaller, and the operation under pressure can be carried out without giving the thermal impact to the electrode. |
