The invention relates to a hydraulic adjusting element, especially a valve clearance adjusting element for the valve timing gear of an internal combustion engine, with a piston-cylinder unit incorporated into the valve actuation, which unit contains a pressure chamber closed off by a non-return valve, a reservoir, which is enclosed by an elastic bellows, being formed outside the piston-cylinder unit, and with a liquid filling or compensating aperture to the reservoir, which is closed after fitting of the adjusting element, the filling or compensating aperture being directly closed by the bellows for greater ease of fitting and for adjusting a defined excess pressure in the clearance adjusting element. |
