PURPOSE:To prevent the stagnation of contaminated shaft sealing liquid, by providing shaft sealing liquid inlet and outlet ports below the sliding surface on the lower side of a shaft sealing chamber, and providing a shaft sealing liquid draw-out pipe in the shaft sealing chamber on the shaft sealing liquid outlet side. CONSTITUTION:An inner rotating ring 3 and an outer rotating ring 4 are incorporated in a shaft sealing chamber part 23, and shaft sealing liquid inlet and outlet ports 21, 22 are provided in a fixed seat 14. The shaft sealing liquid flowed in from the shaft sealing liquid inlet port 21, after filling the shaft sealing chamber 23, passes through a draw-out pipe 11, and flows out from the shaft sealing liquid outlet port 22. The deposit such as wear powder accumulated at the bottom of the shaft sealing chamber 23 is discharged by circulating the shaft sealing liquid in the reverse direction at a given interval. Thus, the stagnation of contaminated shaft sealing liquid can be prevented.
