PURPOSE:To easily read digital records while making a change in analog record easy to know even at an overlap display place, etc., by displaying the overlap between an analog record and a digital record differently. CONSTITUTION:At the time of writing analog record data and digital record data on recording paper, an overlap output data selecting means 38 decides whether or not recording points of both output data overlap with each other or whether or not they are positioned nearby by comparing one data with the other data, thereby selecting overlap and nearby output data from one output data. Then an analog and digital recording and display device 20 displays the data while making the recording point of one selected output data different from the recording point of the other output data, i.e. giving the color of the recording point gradations. Consequently, the analog record can be observed excellently even at a display place where both records overlap with each other, and the read of both recording data is made easy.
