PURPOSE:To photograph the circumference of the inner peripheral part and outer peripheral part of the insulator in a subject at the same time by arranging a radiation transmission quantity adjusting body between a radiation source and the subject or/and between the subject and a film, and taking pictures. CONSTITUTION:The photography is carried out while the X-ray transmission quantity adjusting body 8 is arranged between the subject such as a plastic insulated electric power cable or its molding connection part. An X ray attenuates when passing through the adjusting body 8, so the adjusting body 8 is so structure that its attenuation quantity is small to an X ray passing nearby the inner peripheral part of the insulator 4, but large to an X ray passing nearby the outer peripheral part of the insulator 4. Consequently, when the photography is performed, the intensity of the X ray reaching the film 7 is nearly equal regardless of the X ray passes nearby the inner peripheral part and outer peripheral part of the insulator 4, so the photography from nearby the inner peripheral part of the insulator 4 to the outer peripheral part is performed at a time.
