PURPOSE:To remarkably reduce the cost of a main equipment itself by providing a serial interface externally of the main equipment. CONSTITUTION:A CPU 5 and a bus buffer circuit 9 are incorporated in a teletext receiver 1 and they are connected to a CPU bus 6. A CAPTAIN ROM 3, the serial interface 4, and a bus buffer 10 are provided in a CAPTAIN adapter 2. A bus cable 11 connects between the respective bus buffer circuit 9, 10. Thereby, the cost of the main equipment itself can be remarkably reduced.
