The invention relates to an open strap system accepting various accessories outside the system and reversible modifications in order to adapt itself to objects and tasks. It consists of a strap 1 equipped with multiple short slits 3 and/or loops 5, 8 into which are inserted rigid or flexible accessories acting as a handle 6, and with a hook 10 simultaneously ensuring adjustment and locking of the strap. Components such as a long slit 14, end buckle, and tube-case 21 expand the range of possible combinations, for flat and/or tubular straps, over all or part of their surface. The invention is intended for the transportation, handling and protection of various objects, it being possible for the strap to be transferred in a cover, as desired. <IMAGE>
