PURPOSE:To automatically position an electrode by keeping a universal joint part as pivot point and applying a tilt angle and revolution angle onto an electrode holder, accompanied with the shift-positioning of the U- and V-axis tables and carrying out the parallel advancing revolution swivel movement. CONSTITUTION:One edge of an electrode holder 5 is connected through a universal joint, an the other edge is supported by a spherical bearing 41, and can be shifted by a U-axis table 47 and a V-axis table, and further the universal joint is rotatably supported by a rotary supporting body 70. Therefore, the tilt angle of the electrode holder 5 can be corrected automatically by applying a tilt angle and a revolution angle. Therefore, the U-axis table 47 and V-axis table are shift-positioned by setting the universal joint part for connecting the electrode holder 5 and a frame 4 as pivot point, and the electrode holder 5 is applied with the parallel advancing revolution swivel movement by applying a tilt angle and a revolution angle, and positioning of the electrode 5 with high precision is carried out automatically.
