PURPOSE:To obtain color reproducibility almost constant at all times automatically by detecting the attitude of an image pickup main body directed to an object and obtaining color temperature information selectively from one of plural guide means is introduced a light source radiating the object. CONSTITUTION:A disk 31 is supported pivotally around a shaft 31a and a weight 31b is provided to a part and the weight 31b is placed in the direction G of gravity to drive a disk 31 and the light from a light emitting element 33 is radiated via an aperture 31c to any of photodetector 32a-32c to detect it that the camera main body 1 is directed in any attitude. For example, when an output of the photodetector 32a is detected, it is discriminated that the position '5a is upward' for the camera as the correct position and an output of a photometric element 22a is subject to arithmetic operation by an arithmetic processing circuit 23 and fed to a television signal forming circuit 16 as the color temperature information. Thus, even when the camera is directed at the correct position or longitudinally, the photometric element corresponding thereto is selected automatically and the best photometry is obtained at all times.
