PURPOSE:To use only one ROM and to eliminate the need of a peripheral circuit corresponding to each ROM by providing a means storing respectively a tone data, an interval data and an arrangement data. CONSTITUTION:The ROM 100 stores the tone data, the interval data and the arrangement data respectively. In reading the tone data, and arranged data from the ROM 100, the data of the tone/arrange readout counter 106 is selected by a selection circuit 104 and the data of the designated address is read out. Then the data read in time division is latched respectively in the tone data storage circuit 101, the arrange data storage circuit 103 and the interval data storage circuit 102. Thus, only one ROM is enough for the circuit and the peripheral circuit corresponding to each ROM is not required.
