PURPOSE:To remarkably miniaturize a device and to make it a light weight by eliminating the need for a torque generating means, a rotating shaft, and either one of two bearings in a conventional device, by including a piezoelectric element plate possible to be bent to one side plane by applying a voltage by a flexible plate. CONSTITUTION:A bimorph type piezoelectric element is formed by bonding two sheets of piezoelectric plates 5a and 5b with each other in a direction so that the piezoelectric plate on one side is extended and the piezoelectric plate is compressed when the voltage is applied on electrodes 6a, 6b, and 7 provided on both planes of the piezoelectric plates. Therefore, the piezoelectric plate is bent to the side extending in a projecting shape by applying the voltage on the bimorph type piezoelectric element, and the degree of curvature is proportional to an impressed voltage. Also, by inverting the polarity of the impressed voltage, a direction of curvature is also reversed. Therefore, a cylinder 1a is rotated in a clockwise direction and a cylinder 1b in a counterclockwise direction observing from a left end plane by applying the voltage. By varying the impressed voltage, it is possible to adjust a relative angle of rotation between the cylinders 1a and 1b variously. |
