The present invention relates to a device for cutting tapes wound on a reel. Cutting device, characterised in that it has a metal frame 1, the lower part of which supports a floating motor 2 driving in rotation a spindle 3 for receiving the cut reels, located at one end of the cutting device and surmounted by one or more assemblies formed by a circular cutting blade 4 and a counter-blade 5 which cut the tape 12 of the reel wound on a spindle 6 located at the other end of the cutting device, the said tape 12 being guided from the spindle 6 to the assemblies 4, 5 via various rollers 7, 8, 9 and 10, one 8 of which is equipped with a means for adjusting the lateral tension of the tape 12 of the reel to be cut. <IMAGE>
