PURPOSE:To obtain adhesiveness and tight contact property to a color filter and transparent electrode by using a glass film material obtd. by curing a specific compsn. as a protective film for a display element such as color filter. CONSTITUTION:The protective film obtd. by curing the compsn. obtd. by mixing the following components (a)-(d) is used as the protective film for the display element such as color filter: The component (a) is the organoalkoxysilane expressed by the general formula RSi(OR')3 (where R and R' denote the same or different org. groups), or the hydrolyzed matter and/or partial condensation product of said organoalkoxysilane, the component (b) is hydrophilic org. solvent, the component (c) is water, and the component (d) is a nonionic surfactant. The display element formed with the protective film which has the excellent adhesiveness and tight contact property to both the color filter and the transparent electrode and can solve the parallax of a color liquid crystal display element is thereby obtd. |
