PURPOSE:To machine the outer and inner surfaces of a cylindrical product into a n optional shape by performing the machining corresponding to a groove or a recessed part to be formed on the outer and inner surfaces of the cylindrical product on a flat plate-shaped stock to be worked and bend forming the stock into a cylindrical shape. CONSTITUTION:A flat plate-shaped metal stock 1 to be worked is prepared to manufacture a cylindrical product such as a bush. A straight line groove 2, etc., is previously machined in a diagonal position on a surface or both surfaces. An oil introducing hole 3 is bored at the center of the groove 2 through to the other surface, and then the stock 1 is bent and formed into a cylindrical shape so that the surface having the groove 2 is made to be the inner surface. Subsequently, edges facing to each other are joined by welding 4 or an adhesive to produce a cylindrical product 5a such as a bush. Thus, machining of an optional groove or recessed part on the outer and inner surfaces of the product 5a is performed because the groove 2, etc., is previously machined on the outer and inner surfaces of the stock 1.
