PURPOSE:To make a device small in size and light in weight and to prevent miscopying and unnecessary consumption of recording materials by supplying power from a primary or secondary battery and disabling the power feeding operation at the time of detecting a lack of capacity before paper feeding. CONSTITUTION:A battery 20 which supplies power to the whole of a device consists of the primary battery or the secondary battery which can be repeatedly charged and discharged. A detecting circuit 22 which detects the capacity of this battery and a stabilized power supply circuit 23 which supplies power to constituting members such as a battery capacity detecting circuit 22 are provided. If the detecting circuit 22 detects a lack of capacity before a feeding means which feeds recording materials is operated after the start of image formation, the operation of the feeding means is disabled. Thus, an image forming device is obtained which is not restricted with respect to the place of the use because of the small size and the light weight and prevents unnecessary consumption of recording materials. |
